After receiving his BFA from Detroit's Wayne State University in 2002, Josh went on to be a senior designer for Real Detroit Weekly for 10 years while also designing for other publications like Urb and Rime Magazine. With a strong background in music, Josh's clients have included industry names like E1 Entertainment, Stones Throw, Fat Beats, Databass, Exchange Bureau Music, Oomph, Twilight 76, Whasdat Music and Coyote Cuts. In 2006, he was commissioned by The J Dilla Foundation to do the official commemorative poster consisting of a collage of over 3,000 images with all proceeds to benefit the Foundation. Josh has been featured in art shows from Detroit to Los Angeles (and was one of twenty artists from the US to win the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series curated by Russell Simmons in 2010 at Art Basel Miami). His style features various digital and multimedia work including three-dimensional digital collages, vinyl sticker and paint on canvas, and works involving destroyed Detroit funk 45's. Designer of 15 years, drummer of 24, DJ of 12, artist and record label owner, Josh continues to bridge the gap between art and music with his interpretation and involvement in both.
